Senegal will get electricity infrastructure built by VINCI Energies
A €200 million agreement has been inked by VINCI Energies and Senelec to construct a variety of transmission and distribution facilities for electricity.
Over a thousand workers will be employed over the three-year project. To connect thousands of households, 1,350 km of overhead and subterranean high- and very-high-voltage transmission lines must be built.
In addition, eight extremely high-voltage transformer stations must be built. Additionally, the grid management system will be improved, for instance, by adding an interface that will allow for the remote management of operations and the detection of faults in the overhead and underground power lines.
